We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization, as such your financial or tangible gifts of goods may also be tax deductible. We will promptly receipt all donations.

Please contact us in advance for assistance if you have tangible item(s) you wish to donate to EACM. Tangible items can include food, supplies, vehicles and more!

Meals On Wheels

Share the Courier-Journal! Every little bit does make a big difference. Going on vacation? Say "Yes" to Meals on Wheels and donate your papers to area senior citizens.

Every dollar donated will provide 6 newspapers to area seniors. The newspapers are provided to area seniors and delivered to them with their daily meal. In 2007, through the generosity of those that said "Yes", over 200,000 newspapers were provided to seniors in Kentuckiana.

• This program is funded through "Subscriber Vacation Donations", and other contributions.
• More than $30,000 was collected in 2007. This provided
• Over 200,000 newspapers to area seniors at nutrition sites and to home-delivered 'meals on wheels' clients. Every dollar donated will provide 6 newspapers.
• Meals on Wheels clients are currently not receiving newspapers due to lack of funding for the Courier-Journal program.

Our Meals on Wheels project is funded, in part, under a contract with LMHS & with funds from KIPDA & the KY Cabinet for Health & Family Services & with funds from the US Dept. of Health & Human Services.
