Housing Assistance

Housing Assistance Eligibility

Please read the following information before applying for assistance.

HOUSING ASSISTANCE LIMITS
Due to limited resources, the total amount of housing assistance CANNOT exceed $1,200. Those who are accepted can receive assistance ONCE every 12 months. Household income must fall below 250% of the poverty level.

CALL CHURCHES TO SECURE FUNDS
Housing assistance is provided by local churches. To receive assistance, you MUST call churches directly to secure your housing funds. EACM does not make these calls on your behalf, but we may be able to help if language or disabilities are a barrier.

APPLICATION DATES
Applications MUST be submitted between the 5th and 15th of the month, for the UPCOMING month. Requests submitted outside these dates will NOT be reviewed.

PAYMENTS MUST BE CURRENT
Because assistance funds are limited, housing payments must be current – EACM cannot assist with an overdue balance from previous months.

APPLICATIONS ARE GOOD FOR ONE MONTH
If you are not accepted for housing assistance, you MUST re-apply for assistance in future months.

DOCUMENTS NEEDED
EACM will need a copy of the lease, current ledger, and proof of household income.

RESPONSE TIME
You can expect a response from EACM within seven business days. Please note that submitting this request does NOT guarantee housing assistance.

Please note: the housing assistance application can only be submitted between the 5th and 15th of each month.
